A Day in the Life at The Emerald Paw Pet Resort:
What Your Dog Experiences While You Are Away!

Curious about what your furry friend is up to while you’re traveling? At The Emerald Paw Pet Resort, we create a comfortable and engaging environment where your dog’s happiness and well-being are our top priorities. Here’s a look at a typical day:

6:30 AM – Good Morning, Friends!

Our day begins with our team arriving to unlock the facility and start the morning routine. We kick things off with a huddle to review the previous day, set playgroups based on size and temperament, and go over any special care needs. Once we’re ready, we set the mood with calming music and morning lighting.

7:00 AM – Rise, Shine, and Potty!

After our huddle, staff members take their assigned groups to designated yards for a potty break. During this time, each dog gets a chance to stretch and socialize. Meanwhile, team members make up the beds and refresh water bowls, so everything is ready for the pups’ return.

8:00 AM – Who’s Hungry?!

We cater to individual feeding preferences, preparing each meal according to the pet parent’s instructions. Each meal is hand-delivered to your dog’s suite, where privacy shades are drawn to create a calm space for eating and digesting.

9:00 AM – Let the Fun Begin!

With full bellies, our guests head out in their playgroups for a day packed with activities. We offer interactive games, themed parties, and play equipment to keep dogs entertained and engaged. For those looking for extra mental or physical stimulation, we also provide additional services.

12:00 PM – Individual Activities and Rest Time

After a fun morning, it’s time for a rest break. Each dog returns to their suite, with fresh water and cozy surroundings. If requested, we provide a midday meal or snack. During this downtime, we start individualized activities and spend one-on-one time with first-time boarders who might need extra comfort.

2:00 PM – Midday Adventures!

Afternoons are all about exploring! Each group gets to go on a “field trip” around the resort, which could mean checking out new play areas, visiting the lobby, or enjoying special afternoon activities.

4:00 PM – Dinner Time!

After an active day, it’s time to refuel. We carefully prepare and serve each evening meal, freshen up water bowls, and tidy the suites. For those with additional requests, we offer customized activities, making sure each dog gets the care they need.

6:00 PM – Golden Hour

As the day winds down, our pups enjoy some low-energy play in their groups, soaking in the last light of the day with gentle interactions.

8:00 PM – Bedtime Biscuits & Tuck-In

At the end of a full day, we ensure each dog is ready for a peaceful night. With fresh bedding, water, and any required nighttime routines or medication, each dog is tucked in with a complimentary bedtime biscuit. Privacy shades are drawn, and calming nighttime music is played to help them relax into a restful sleep.

I can’t say enough good things about the Emerald Paw! Jenny and the staff are amazing! I never had to kennel my golden retrievers in the past so when I got a new puppy in the Spring, I decided to give it a try while he is young. I was so nervous leaving him the first time but they answered all of my MANY questions and put my mind at ease. He has now stayed two nights and did great! The facility has such a calming atmosphere and it’s beautiful. My boy came home tired from playing and making new friends. They treated my boy like one of their own. I highly recommend leaving your dog with them! :)
